Our History Chef Services was originally Chef Norms Personal Chef Services since 2001 as a part-time business. Times change and the outlook improved to offering another venue of business by switching to an online and contact sales approach to the Hospitality Industry, Chefs and the everyday culinary cuisiners and food lovers. That is how we have evolved to gain more exposure to finer foods and supplies for our valued customers.

Chef Norms wife - Amy, JUST finished, on her Masters Degree in Library Sciences at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. They have two sons - Auguste and James Thomas.

Norman Ruhe Jr. CEC is a Certified Executive Chef and a former Certified Culinary Educator. His extensive culinary background ranges from the licensed cook apprenticeship, to a BS degree in Hospitality Management from Webber College, Babson Park Fla. Working as a cook, chef, Chef Garde Manger, Banquet and Catering Chef, Executive Chef, Hotel and Resort Food and Beverage Director to an Executive Chef/Director of his own business with a broad based knowledge of the total Foodservice and Hospitality Industry.

Awards from American Culinary Federation are Triad Chapter NC, Chef of the Year, 1999. Most recently, a Bronze Medal in Two Chef team competition in 2007. Other awards of Bronze medal Grand Buffet and Mini-Buffet Divisions, and Bronze medal Ice Carving competition. Chef Norm is an American Culinary Federation member since 1976, with a few years’ travelers’ hiatus.

His experiences range from fine dining restaurants, resorts, hotels, luxury hotels, retirement communities; teaching as a Culinary Arts Instructor at Community Colleges and Adjunct Instructor at the Culinary Arts Institute of Charlotte, NC.
